The Shield Zipfree wetsuit has quickly become known as the “Super Hero” wetsuit for its lightweight, flexibility and full-on performance. It has the warmth of traditional 3mm wetsuits. Skeptical? Just ask those in lineup and check out the reviews. You will be amazed at how warm and flexible it is.
The Shield extends the “Arms Up” design for virtually zero shoulder restriction and applies it to the back panel of the suit. For even more freedom of movement through the chest and shoulders.
The Zipfree wetsuit features Yamamoto #40 and #39 neoprene. #40 Yamamoto is in the upper torso, with 25% more stretch for easier paddling.
The new improved entry creates a better water-tight seal. While still providing increased mobility and freedom of movement through the chest and shoulders.
The Zipfree Shield just might change how you think about your wetsuits.

I've been fortunate enough to have used a lot of wetsuits. Beginning with the O'neill beavertail through the stiff fullsuits of the late 20th century, up to the present time. Many suits have their gimmicks: quick dry, neck gators, tight wrist and ankle cuffs, but they're still the same ill-fitting, moderately flexible suit.
Then a quantum leap occurred.
Isurus created a surgical glove
It's also exceptionally warm, with the flexibility in the shoulder and hips where it's needed.
As the Orthopedic Surgeon for the ASP/WSL for the last 25 years, I've seen a multitude of injuries from tight, poor fitting suits. The cut and stitch pattern is superb to allow exceptional flexibility through the shoulders. This decreases the risk of impingement syndrome and rotator cuff damage. The zipper less entry and exit is also very flexible around the shoulder which also decreases the risk of rotator cuff or labral damage.
I have also experienced myself the low back stiffness that occurs with a poorly fit wetsuit that allows low back chill. Even though the Shield is only a 2/2, the stitch and paneling is done to maximize fit with optimal warmth to the low back area.
Spend a little bit more on this fabulous suit rather than in my office with your shoulder pain. Buying quality never goes out of style. I rarely give testimonials, but I believe in Isurus wetsuits.
I don’t do surgery in garden gloves.
You shouldn’t surf in a suboptimal wetsuit

At Isurus, our passion is to build world-class wetsuits that stand up to the harshest conditions the ocean might offer.
Living and surfing in and along the California coast, a frequent topic of conversation was just how much wetsuit innovation had stagnated and quality had deteriorated. It is about designing a wetsuit that improves surfer performance. Click for more about Isurus wetsuits.

"Love this suit. It was kind of tight at first but it seems to have molded to my body. After about 2 dozen surfs so far, it’s perfect. I look forward to getting the 3. 3 hooded Shield."
"The best wetsuit I have ever owned!!"
"Best wetsuit by far I’ve ever worn. The zip free option is easy to get in and out of and provides a level of stretch that cannot be achieved with a zippered suit. Water in our wavepool was 51* today and I was sweating in this 2/2. Pretty unreal."
"Because of the construction of the wetsuit, I am able to use a thinner wetsuit and stay warm all winter. Helps tons with paddling and flexibility. ."
"2/2 LT Shield such a good suit. Warm, flexible, and paddles really good. Im 6’2” 200 pounds and have a long torso, and suit fits perfect . Highly recommend Isurus wetsuits. You will not be disappointed. Big mahalos to Josh for dialing me in."
"Wished that I had purchased it sooner. The first session at Malibu 1st Point I felt as though I was surfing without a wetsuit and I had the experience as though the wetsuit had an internal heating source. The morning prior I was surfing in another brand’s 4/3. I was so impressed that I bought a second wetsuit, same model. Thank you Isuzus. 😎👍🏄:male_sign:"
"I have been in the surf industry for 40 years and have either ridden for, worked for or worn most of the top brands. Isurus is by far the best suit I’ve worn. The blend of flexibility and warmth is unmatched. Usually you have to sacrifice one or the other."
"Excellent Wetsuit I feel the cold easily and it extends my comfort level well into the fall. The suppleness is amazing."
"I have been surfing for over 35 years and the surf industry for 15 years…and I wear Isurus wetsuits…the Shield is my favorite…there isn’t a better high performance wetsuit with the flexibility and durability of Isurus Shield…"
