The feedback for our 2mm ZipFree Shield wetsuit is awesome. Thanks to a tireless effort from our design and innovation teams, we've combined materials and design to create a suit that actually improves your surfing performance.
Bottom line: Our 2mm ZipFree Shield wetsuits are as warm as a regular 3mm wetsuit but with much more flexibility.
This means our riders get all the benefits of a thinner material in terms of comfort, but with the warmth of a 1mm thicker suit.
But enough from us, we'll let other people do the talking.
Take me to the suits"I'm gonna be fine, because it's an ISURUS wetsuit". This level of confidence is common in our riders!
Surfers love the 2mm Shield wetsuit because you can wear it in such a large range of temperatures, from spring through to fall.
Jade River Morgan tells it like it is on a freezing day at Lowers:
ISURUS 2mm ZipFree wetsuits are so popular we've created a range of different configurations to suit your personal preferences and local conditions:
The full suit is our most popular 2mm configuration - providing warmth for the biggest temperature range, in many cases it's the only wetsuit you'll need all year!
The short arm configuration is our no.2 Shield. Your arms are going to start to feel the cold in the colder months, but you'll be good for the rest of the year.
The short leg version of the 2mm wetsuit is great for surfing further into the warmer months, especially if there's still a little chill in the air.
Available combinations: | Minimum temp | Max temp |
2mm Fullsuit ZipFree Wetsuit | 52°F | 62°F |
2mm Short Arm Spring ZipFree Wetsuit | 60°F | 70°F |
2mm Short Leg Spring ZipFree Wetsuit | 60°F | 70°F |
We strongly believe that removing the zip from a wetsuit ensures a more comfortable fit and better all-round flexibility and performance.
Due to our unique pattern and choice of high-performance Yamamoto #40 Limestone Neoprene the neck openings in our ZipFree wetsuits have the flexibility to open wide, the durability not to tear, and the fabric memory to return to their original shape.
With this design and exceptional material there is simply no need for a zip, see below how easy it is to put on:
This is Joe's full review our our 2mm Shield wetsuit - his "go to summer suit". He discusses the compression, flex, range of motion and comfort:
Sure, professional surfers love our wetsuits, but what about general customers? We'll let them speak for themselves:
Year of innovation, experience and a few mishaps have resulted in a wetsuit that is beyond compare in terms of comfort and performance. It's an industry secret, but a lot of surfers sponsored by mass-produced brands wear ISURUS wetsuits when they can!
These are some of the magic ingredients that go into our wetsuits:
Limestone Neoprene from Yamamoto contains a much higher percentage of air content than regular Neoprene. This makes it superior in every way: More flexible, lighter, more durable, and warmer.
Regular wetsuits are designed in the resting position, but ISURUS wetsuits use a fabric "pattern" primed for action. With the cut optimised for “arms up” position, our wetsuits are far more comfortable when you paddle (i.e. all the time!).
Compression garments improve blood flow and aid recovery. Professional athletes in all sports use them at an elite level for maximum performance. It is long overdue for surfing, and we are leading the charge!
