When an historic run of swell hit California, Ryan was there to take full advantage - towing and paddling huge waves charging hard.
Speaking post-surf, he seemed unfazed by what some people are calling "the wipeout of the swell". As a recent Ride Of The Year award winner he's used to some wipeouts, but this was something pretty special.
