Josh's Take On Fathom - the "Giant killer"
Fathom summed up in a few words: "the giant killer"
Why we created Fathom: better materials that last longer.
Opening up ISURUS so more people can experience high-quality wetsuits
A stepping stone to the ultra premium range
WHY FATHOM EXISTS:
We didn’t take shortcuts to make our wetsuits accessible to more surfers...
We Identified What Actually Matters In Performance
And rebuilt the best-performing wetsuit at a new price point for ISURUS.
Most wetsuits in this category hold back on innovation to hit a price point. We did the opposite. We got back in the lab and re-specified material combinations that give the same flexibility and performance as our top tier wetsuits.
So what gives? The Fathom is not quite as warm as our pure 100% Yamamoto wetsuits.
But with Premium Japanese Limestone Neoprene in the torso - the Fathom series is still warmer than any other brand’s wetsuit at the same price point.
Built To Outperform Everything In Its Class
We tested this range against the competition and the results are amazing.
When it comes to performance, the material selection of the Fathom, combined with the proven design features present in every ISURUS wetsuit make this a formidable wetsuit.
It is simply in a class of its own amongst its peers from other brands.
What Changed?
Different Materials. Same Design Philosophy.
Material Differences
Built on the same design principles that define our most advanced wetsuits, the Fathom Alloy Series represents a deliberate evolution in material engineering.
Where our ultra-premium range is 100% Yamamoto Japanese neoprene, the Fathom Alloy takes a different approach - blending materials with intention.
It is the combination that creates strength. By integrating Premium Japanese Limestone-based neoprene with newly developed performance jerseys, we’ve engineered a wetsuit that balances warmth and flexibility with a more accessible price point.
Same Best-in-Surfing Design
Using core features from our ultra-premium range, the Fathom Alloy delivers proven fit and performance through a reimagined material platform.
The front-zip architecture with a closed-end YKK zipper is the same as our Evade Series.
Like every ISURUS wetsuit, the arms-up design, bio-mechanical lat panel, and unique fit are enhanced by an artisanal attention to detail.
HOW FATHOM FITS IN
Fathom is designed for surfers who want exceptional performance without paying for the top-of-the-line materials in our Ultra Premium collections (Evade & Shield) .
Sure, you are sacrificing some warmth and durability compared to our Ultra Premium wetsuits, but the Fathom is best-in-class compared to generic, mass-market wetsuits.
