Train Like A Pro To Surf...

Ok, not like a pro, but maybe better than normal.

There's no sugarcoating it, if you're over 30 and in the water less, your surfing has probably peaked. So makes it more important to maximise every opportunity and harness every advantage to get your wave count up and surf-performance dialled-in. 

The right wetsuit helps, but so does the right training out of the water.  A man who is committed to both is Sam Hammer. He's an absolute charger from the East Coast who has traded years of sponsorship with a major surf brand to join the ISURUS team. 

He's partnered with David Santamaria to create SurfHealthPro to offer direct training to anyone looking for in-person surf-specific training. Dave's background in health and elite performance training has kept Sam getting barrelled and surfing at an incredibly high level to this day. 

We want to share some of their training techniques with the ISURUS community, and this first set of 5 exercises is the perfect warm-up. We'll continue to bring more training exercises from the SurfHealthPro team so you can add variety to your surf preparation, and focus on specific conditioning to strengthen areas that are important to you. 

Training with Sam and Dave is refreshingly authentic, a long way from the finely-polished fitness influencers that flood social media channels.  It doesn't make the stretches any easier, but it definitely makes it more fun and inspiring.
