It paddles like a dream. It's the easiest wetsuit to get into and out of. The “Arms Up” design provides you with virtually “zero restriction” through the chest and shoulders. If you are tired of sore and aching shoulders after a session, than take a look at the Isurus Zipfree line.

The Zipfree entry has been improved for a better water tight seal. Still easier to get into and out of than chest zips or back zip wetsuits.

I've been fortunate enough to have used a lot of wetsuits. Beginning with the O'neill beavertail through the stiff fullsuits of the late 20th century, up to the present time. Many suits have their gimmicks: quick dry, neck gators, tight wrist and ankle cuffs, but they're still the same ill-fitting, moderately flexible suit.

Then a quantum leap occurred.

It's also exceptionally warm, with the flexibility in the shoulder and hips where it's needed.

As the Orthopedic Surgeon for the ASP/WSL for the last 25 years, I've seen a multitude of injuries from tight, poor fitting suits. The cut and stitch pattern is superb to allow exceptional flexibility through the shoulders. This decreases the risk of impingement syndrome and rotator cuff damage. The zipper less entry and exit is also very flexible around the shoulder which also decreases the risk of rotator cuff or labral damage.

I have also experienced myself the low back stiffness that occurs with a poorly fit wetsuit that allows low back chill. Even though the Shield is only a 2/2, the stitch and paneling is done to maximize fit with optimal warmth to the low back area.

Spend a little bit more on this fabulous suit rather than in my office with your shoulder pain. Buying quality never goes out of style. I rarely give testimonials, but I believe in Isurus wetsuits.

"These suits are amazing we have over 70 1. 5ml tops that we suit our students up with in September and October. Water temps stay mild while air temps slowly get cool. Other schools have students in full suits and our students are amazed how warm there frames are and wearing less gear makes popping up on a surfboard for a brand new student much easier. These tops are wind resistant and we’ll see students from other schools in 3/2s with their teeth chattering and our folks are nice and toasty! "Warm, flexible and superior performance with “gold standard “ materials. Before winters in SoCal & Nothern Baja were surfed with a 3/2 or 4/3 - for me one was too cold and the other too restrictive . Isurus’ 3/3mm zipperless solved that problem. Mind blowing comfort & flexibility and hot as a furnace. My wetsuit quiver was converted to all Isurus wetsuits as my old inferior big box brands wore out. This past winter my 2/2mm zipperless worked extremely well too. The extra money is absolutely worth it because it makes a real difference."
